I was sincere in that if you REALLY want back on reset your password with the original one you had. Very simple. Change it to a new one if you want. If you choose not to, so be it, we'll survive without you, and I apologize for trying to help you. 1. If you are going to devote a huge amount of your time and effort (like we did) then you should know who and what was done to all of us. And you should care because it will likely happen to you and others that decide to "help". Quite simply when CS has an issue with someone he will change the e-mail address on their account and have a password reset mailed to him. Then he can go in and see any and all PM's from that account. You will note that all of the former mods and many of the former Founders all happen to have their passwords "Reset". Word to the wise- delete all PM's that you would prefer not made public. And never e-mail anything that can be used against you or to make you look bad.

well i enjoy both sites and i tried to catch up the best i can with all this, but i truly do not have time to read thru the mess...

i can say however.... i have met Chris Sunkin. i ran into him at loto during the shootout. the guy was extremely nice and rather any of you choose to believe it or not the man is very intelligent and understands marketing better than most of us ever could...

after seeing you guys still chatting it up about SOS on a hourly basis and making you guys look bad... i would think he is probably watching with a smile :)

he has always extended his knowledge of boats to me and i appreciate any input he has added... key is, its my choice to accept it or reject it. i could care less what boats he has owned or said he owned... SOS or OSO will never make anyone rich or even worth the time to maintain the bs of forums.

Well I can certainly say this, I have more than "run" into him, he spent a couple days in Cambridge and on my boat and we talked about many things at diff times. If you are comfortable with that then OK, keep smiling while he tries to fleece you.
As for his intelligence and marketing, he is a total and complete failure, the only thing he excels in is lying and trying to make himself out that he is knowledgeable about everything, seems his rouse worked on you. How can some one so intelligent not balance a checkbook or keep track of raffle funds? I'm pretty sure someone of his advanced intellect could whip up an Excel spreadsheet in mere seconds, or hell even do it the old fashioned way and write it down with a pen :rolleyes:
I also think you are assuming that all we do is sit and glare at the computer with a scowl and send hate Chris messages back and forth, nothing could be further from the truth. The goal in all of this is to warn potential victims like yourself, who has built his gyms and business's through hard work and dedication, not like sunkin who rode on the backs of the good people that dedicated the time to do the work behind the scenes to create a site that you would like, it was sunkin that hopped up and took all the credit for everyone's hard work.

I am going to stick my big fat nose in where is does not belong, but I have a habit of doing that anyways. I have been reading OSO for years. Don't post much, but like to lurk.

Watching Sunkin get barbeque'd is in the top three threads of brutality I have ever seen. Tripplediggits comes to mind as does the guy that drilled through his ECU on his street bike and people from all over the world chimed in to call him a douche.

While I am sure you guys are going to roast me for what I have to say, first, I wouldn't take the time out of my day to piss on Sunkin. I hate liars and thieves. While Sunkin may have admitted defete by giving SOS ownership to Dave, he never admitted he was wrong. He hasn't learned chit and will simply move on.

What I do have a problem with is attacking Buizilla. I have known the man for over 5 years. He is stubborn, honery as hell, and hates to admit he is wrong. He is also unbiased, will give you the damn shirt off his back, and has helped 100's of people on boating chat boards. He is a big boy and doesn't need me to defend him, but I am going to speak out anyways. I can tell you right now, he is no Sunkin patsy.

Dave has inhereted a damaged chat board. Sunkin is gone, and I think he is. To repair SOS's reputaion, one of the first things I would do is start replacing all the mods who left with people like Buizilla. Like Buiz or not, he has integrity. This is the direction SOS needs to go. Dave didn't ask him to get into the politics of the board, just to tell people to shut the hell up when they are out of line. Thats all, end of story.

Alot of you guys think SOS will fail. It won't. Most of the members there don't know what happened, and those who do don't care. They like the board. You guys should be proud of what you accomplished. Despite Sunkin, you created a board that was and is successful. You did this despite the half dozen generic big boards like OSO and Speedwake, and the god knows how many brand specific boards like Donzi.org.

Alot of you guys were freinds with Dave before all this, if for nothing else, than to bust his chops in a freindly way. Now he is the anti Christ. Quick scenario for you, if you could prove Sunkin was completely gone, would you help Dave with SOS or at least give him your support? I say give the guy a chance. Maybe, if Sunkin is gone, he can make it the board you once envisioned before all the BS. I say getting Buizilla to agree to be a moderator is a step in the right direction.

As for Sunkin, guys like that don't learn. He will show up somewhere doing the same thing. You will find him on a John Deere Tactor chat forum telling people how he designs tractors for Kubota and has a dozen 310's at home. Or on a military chat board telling people he is a mercenary for hire and designed the Abrams Tank. When someone learns from thier mistakes, they admit they were wrong, apologize and move on. Chris has done none of the above........

BTW, in regards to my opinion on Sunkin, I speak for myself, not Buizilla. Don't know how he feels about him nor do I care.
