There should be no but. There's no need for deceit. I've never misrepresented anything I've sold and expect the same. You wouldn't like it either. If they've lied about one item then logic follows that they'll lie about another.

As far as the drive, if it did break that is part of buying used, but if you stopped the check and never paid to have it repaired then again I think you came out quite a bit on top.
Brace,

No offense, but I paid extra dollars for the upgraded HO motors and I paid for 30 hour HO motors, not 80+. How long a motor last has nothing to do with it.

I can understand your point. I bought my 46 cig with 72 hours, it showed up with 90 some. I blamed myself for not having it checked. Was a big surprise though.

I just hope in the end it does not sour your fun with your boat.

I got 150 hrs out of my factory 496 HO before she slug a bearing. Id say 50 hrs over is a big deal when you buy a 30hr engine and it has 80hrs on it when it arrives.

At Crayola,
What a load of crap, take the time to re-read TC's story again!!
TC asked Jeff for specifics about anything and everything that had been done to the boat, and he backed Scott up in telling him it is a 30 hour boat that had nothing but an oil change was perfect and like new with only one change.
So to describe the boat a little more accurately they could have told the new potential owner that all these things were swapped out....but wait.....that affects the selling price now don't it!!
So my next logical question would be .....did the 30 hour meter get changed out as well.....could be a 300 hour boat....

Think about what you are saying? If the hours came off the computer, which they likely did, there was 80 hours on the swapped motors. How many hours are on the boat, +1 or +1000? Need the original ECMs for that? Maybe thats why the drive puked?

The hour meters read 30 hours when I got the boat. I realized the motors had been switched after about 5 hours of my use. I had the ECM's read immediatly and they read 80+ hours. Is it possible to change the hours on the ECM? As for the drives, nobody but Jeff and Scott know how many hours were on them.

it is pathetic how many people are just plain liars today. makes me ashamed of what our generation has become. just disgusted. isn't there one honest person left in this world ? maybe not for you guys, but for me it is a lot of money buying even a used boat to try and take a tiny bit of stress out of life and then you have to get taken for a ride besides . sorry for your loss. i am sure being a credible person you will take the hit on resale while these fine church folk laugh all the way to the bank. just sickening
