Beware of Dealing with this Deadbeat!
Mike Madison West Babylon, NY
I performed a survey for him on a 2007 26' Larson express. Decided that partial payment was enough and hangs-up when I call him. Complains that a pump didn't work AFTER he told the broker the boat was perfect when he received it. |

Ed...didn't you have one that stiffed you completely last year?
Now I get paid up-front if the customer isn't present at the survey. This guy wired the money to the broker, but not enough to fully cover my survey. He promised the broker he would send me a check for the shortage, but now has decided he's above paying. He owns a body shop in West Babylon. |
Sorry to hear about that Ed. You did a great job on my old Cig and I thought you were well worth the $$.

I didn't start this thread as a witch hunt. Just want to warn members of my OSO family about a deadbeat boater.

Please read the title of this thread. Where's the change of direction? What am I missing here?

Hey Indy, no wonder we couldn't figure it out. It was something I posted in a thread started in 2008! I think Comanche 36 must be retired and has a lot of time on his hands to remember what one guy posted so long ago. Actually I'm flattered. Didn't think anything I posted would make such an impression.

You sound angry. That's good! Remember, you are judged by the company you keep! That's all for this thread,,,mision accomplished.
...and to what company are you referring? (By the way "mission" has 2 s's). Your time would be much better spent worrying about the rotted lateral bulkheads in your boat, rather than calling me out on a years old post I made about a completely unrelated topic. You obviously have not read my current best selling book. It's called: "How to Survive a Pissing Contest". Here's a few excerpts free of charge: Tip #1 Avoid getting into pissing contests with people smarter, more articulate and more clever than you are. (Looks like THAT ship has sailed!). Tip #2 If you insist on STILL entering this pissing contest, drink lots and lots of water and bring a big dick. (Looks like you're 0 for 2)! |
Who needs tv when yopu got this comedy! Ed coming down their next month to look at 41&47 Apaches if you know of any that are not advertised or in excellant shape.

Ed,
With you having a business in South Florida, which we all know is a sunny place for shady people, who'd a thunck you'd ever get burned. However, if your customer promised the broker that you would be paid, why is the broker not helping to make you whole? Who called you for the survey the customer or the broker? |

This was a legitimate thread that followed all the guidelines until Captain Lonesomedick decided to take one more shot at Chris Sunkin through me. As far as I know it has never been proven that Chris Sunkin did anything he was accused of.
And "man-up"? That phrase sounds familiar. |

I think you're going to regret posting that.
I heard mumblings about Chris S. and even talked with him on the phone about advertising. I passed however. I just did not feel warm and fuzzy about the guy and the entrire SOS. To me SOS stood for exactly what it was. If Cozzi says he has seen no proof to back up the claims and won't condemn the guy then I believe him. So my question is what does any of it have to do with his original post? And if you jumped ship and ran over to SOS and then sent up your own SOS after realizing you were duped, well you just can't fix stupid now can you? So my thoughts are if you need a boat surveyed in south Florida, don't call Cozzi. And then don't cry when it turns out to be a total piece of crap. Wave a little SOS flag instead. |

And your point? i never did business with the guy. Did you?
If Brian chose to give him a hundred bucks on behalf of AT then that was a truly nice gesture. Wouldn't you agree?
