Visiting this site, http://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/webc...efendantSearch , I noticed that James Winters court date ended with it being adjourned until 8/6/12. I also noticed it has been taken off the trials calender and put back on conferences. It looks like this was done because of a motion for a Sandoval hearing. This is a hearing to help a defendant decide if they will testify or not, by letting them know what all they can be questioned about if they do testify.
I am NOT a lawyer, so there may be more or less to this that I don't see. To me it looks like telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth may not be in someones best interest.

Sorry if this is obvious but I can't remember since so much has transpired since the original theft but is the former owner an OSO member?
