That's because he committed a big felony (over $200,000) in the state of Texas.

Looking at the link his parole release may be sooner than you think. Mineral Wells is a transfer facility, it could be an interim home as a between unit transfer, or it could be an interim home as the paperwork is being gathered for the prerelease parole hearing.
It shows his sentence date as Jan 13, 2011 that gives him 18 months of TDCJ custody but he'll also get credit for county jail time served if he served time awaiting trial.
A good rule of thumb on a felony conviction like this is 1/3 to 3/8 of the sentence incarcerated in TDC for a non-aggravated crime of a first time offender.
He might not want to try it again after his release, they set the bar much higher on early release for repeat offenders.

I thought about it for about a minute, and went back to S-N-F and attached a link for this thread and the Performance Boat article, and gave everyone fair warning about JC PERF. I thought it was the right thing to do.....

Relax JC and chill out Dude. You havent been convicted on anything yet because you and/or your attorney have been playing the delay games for the past 3 years. In other words...you have not made your final court appearance just yet...but when you do, you ARE going to be convicted on a conspiracy charge, unless you can buy your way out like Sgro did and then plead out on a misdeamer. The only problem is, is that you dont have the money like Sgro does.

...and that's the only reason I didn't sue this guy for hack workmanship. I got taken to the tune of $18K but since he can't afford to pay attention I figured what's the use?

I hope that this month, the State will make a change in his living arrangements. However if that doesn't happen, I'll get the word out in a more formal fashion.

Sorry to hear about your problems with JC Perf., and I don't think you are alone in you situation, others have gotten screwed by this guy. Interesting, S-N-F took down my post ASAP, so Jeff knows someone over there.....

His professional response to the allegations here have certainly bolstered his business.

My particular circle jerk started in the spring of 2010, about a month or so after he got arrested for something he is (of course) completely innocent of. I do believe however that despite his declared innocence, he will go to jail or at a minimum pay a hefty fine and probation following a plea deal. This type of thing always happens to the innocent ones. Just so this gets picked up in future searches... Jeff Cropper...JC Performance
