The Feed back score system is a start, but maybe we could get the Mods to put up a sticky (BUYER BEWARE) in the swap shop with a list of people and links to this section so buyers can make an informed decision on whether or not they want to take a chance on someone who has been known to sell junk in the past. As others have said it does not how many good parts you have sold once you screw someone over you should be called out in front of everyone.

The op posted pics of his pile of chit he received. I meant pics in swap shop. Mandatory price and photos. I know of another site with those rules. Couldn't we police it ourselves? Report it to a mod if it lacks either.... We wouldn't all be reading these threads if we didn't use the S.S....

Agree on the required pictures and price in the swap shop.
No policing needed. If you have time to list an item for sale, take a picture as well.
Also, it's your stuff. You know what you need out of it so, list a price.

I am sorry, but the pics that was sent to the buyer look like chit to me. I am not standing up for the seller, but I purchased a brand new one from the local mercury dealer for $2100.00 a few years ago. That is a $500.00 dollar gimbal all day.

Pictures won't solve these problems. Post a thread to see if another member is near the seller and can go look at the parts or even act as a middle man. Or take a road trip. I bought my low hour, like new 525 off this forum. First I had a mutual friend vouch for the seller and the engine so I got $20,000 and drove from Michigan to Tennessee to pick it up. It sounds like buyer beware now on the bigger ticket items so have someone check them out. If this part came from Michigan we have plenty of boaters up here. We're not going to go get revenge but I bet someone would have gone to look at the parts. I checked out an engine for someone who lived near the west coast. Sorry you got screwed. That's pretty bad corrosion.
