Default Update

As an update to this original post. I bought the boat, it didn't run great and needed some wiring updates. I've taken it on the Mississippi River and the Illinois River along with Lake Wapello. Nothing fell off and really it doesn't leak, it's an old boat and I get a lot of people who really like it. So you can have your opinion and yes the transom needs work (old boat) but I wouldn't call it junk or unsafe.

Did you replace the bottom of the back seat? Quite literally when I stepped down on it from the engine compartment, it cracked in 1/2. Also the back of the helm seat broke off when I went to brace myself on it to stand up. Yes the transom needs work but there are so many spider cracks in it from the outside it looks like charlottes web. Please tell us what you fixed on it.

I bought new front seats from Overtons, made a new back frame for the seat and replaced the boards. I put on 2 refurbished carbs. Some spider cracks I've had a lot of fun with this old boat. BTW I've hit some big waves from tug boats on the river no issues.

to each there own…I’d never run a boat in that condition. how did you get it insured? don’t tell me it’s not…I don’t care about your pos. I’d care about others.

Cool old boat. Looks like the Excalibur my dad had when I was a kid.
