Buyer Beware of Steve Debo
 

I was going to purchase 2 bravo xr drives that this individual had for sale. I sent him $1000.00US ($1457 Canadian)deposit via PayPal. A week later he made me aware that he could not ship them to Canada and would return my deposit. It's been 2 weeks now and no refund. He keeps saying he will but he is always giving me different excuses. Now he is not replying to my request for my refund.
It is truly unfortunate that there are people out there in a tight boating community that knowing screw people over.
Beware my friends.

I sent him a partial payment of $3,750 on April 23 and on March 24 I had sent him $3,000 for 2 extension boxes, everything associated and the hydraulic steering that was used on the boat also. Everything was supposed to be created up and shipped two weeks ago and it’s been nothing but stories and I can’t get him on the phone either. Final payment was supposed to be made when I received the crate and he’s asked me a few times if I could just send the final payment because it was on the way.

Good luck because he has been avoiding me as well. Story after story! Time to make this guy famous! Let me know how you make out. Thx

when using paypal its easy to put up a complaint saying item not received and you should be credited quite fast!

He has been staying in contact but only through text or Facebook messenger. Started off by saying some female sent the crate out and left the BOOL on it then it turned into him saying that it went to the wrong place then it was stopped in transit before being delivered to the wrong address but the whole time could not get me any tracking info at all and says that he’s too busy working and can’t use his phone but will call the next day. Problem is the next day never happens. I’m giving him until 1 o’clock tomorrow and then I am contacting my Lawyer and the police.

I reported to PayPal and sent all correspondence to them. Thx

Post up his address. Maybe someone lives close by and could stop over. I certainly would to help out.

Ya, put it out there on a post he was blowing himself on how much he makes parting out boats. I guess so when you sell them 2-3 times. Whole post went poof. Live in the Cincinnati area and another posts was made aware on Facebook what he's been up to.

Weird how when I call a customer for approval for extra money due to their rusted out ****box car falling apart while working on it and needing more parts, they come in and rage and want to kill me, but no one seems to do that when they actually get $$$$ stolen from them.

Just find it odd.

[I'm talking to him also right now and he hosed me for 2 gs on the same boxes that he sold already, I do have his address and the guy needs to go to jail as far as I. Concerned!

I searched the Hillsboro court records and found 2 entries. One for money owed and the other for seat belt. The good thing is the seat belt issue which happened in 2015 listed his address, that is if he is still there and is the same Steve Debo

Open records for anyone. Searched for county clerk office in the area, thinking if he had a house there would be a deed record. Came upon the court data base first

This guy took $1000US from me. I've sent him several messages requesting my money. No reply. I'm in Canada and not sure what else I can do? PayPal isn't helping matters neither. Can't speak to anyone because of covid and reduced staff!

When you look at the pic of the address listed in the court papers, scroll around the hot tubs for sale and there is an offshore boat under the tarp to the left.

So this guy's been ripping people off for years and uses his real name to do business......priceless

Maybe if he sells a couple hot tubs and some other junk he has laying around he can pay you guys back.

He got me for $1400 in 2013. Never shipped the item then accused me of stealing it off his porch! Big time scammer.

Give him a cal.l 615 906 6956 was the last phone number he contacted me from. Tried to sell me some 502 mpi's . After a few messages back and forth I bounced. He just didn't come across as a trust worthy dude. Seeing this I'm glad my red flags went up.
