This post is being created to warn people and to possibly gather evidence for law enforcement officials. I’m the owner of the Rio Roses 42 fountain. I recently got into a contract for a 36 Nortech that was being brokered by a Randy Hartmann who use to work at Lake Cumberland Marine. Long story short the contract that Randy created was fraudulent as the owner of the Nortech had no idea a contract existed for the sale of his boat and never signed the contract.The deal was my boat on trade and some cash for the Nortech.My Fountain, Rio Roses, was being stored in PHX as a deposit for the boat. Once I realized this deal was fraudulent and demanded my deposit back Randy Hartmann had my #6 drives, gimbals and setback boxes taken off as well as other equipment was taken as well. If anybody knows anything about this or has seen my boat recently please let me
know. Do not do business with this guy. Several attorneys in KY have told me this guy rips people off for a living and don’t know why he’s not in jail.

Sorry to hear of another one of the stories about this guy. Just to be clear for anybody reading this he is in no way affiliated with Lake Cumberland Marine in Kentucky anymore and he has not been for many years now.

I got some stories about that guy and his business ethics. He's a real slime-ball.

I don’t think he has even been affiliated with LCM in almost ten years.

I would send legal papers asap to his last known address on his business card etc etc!

I am very surprised to hear something like this as I have talked with Randy for years about boats I wanted. He always took my call and spent all the time necessary and I never spent a dime with him. Fast forward to June 2020 the boat I have been after for a few years came up I talked to Randy he secured the deal....I still had my boat to sell which was a hard sell to a special buyer. Randy went above and beyond working with me and the seller to facilitate the deal. He also worked very hard to secure a buyer for my boat to make both deals happen very smoothly. Any issues that came up or if I had questions he was always a call away even at midnight..... Did I get lucky? I don't think so.... I am a pretty good judge of character and have bought many boats from Florida people and always got the Miami Shuffle.... Not one issue with Randy Hartmann. He also sold my buddy a 47 GTX a few weeks later also no issues. a 3rd friend is currently working with him on a 46 Outerlimits as we speak.....not one of them ever called me and had a bad word to say about him only good things...maybe all three of us (wait 4 of us because my other freind purchased a 40 skater from him in 2015 once again smooth deal no issues)

Maybe there was some bad issues in your deal i dont know all of it but I would gladly provide my number and my friends numbers for references to vouch for Randy Hartmann

Anybody else have stories with Randy? Good or Bad? I am fixing to do a deal and just trying to cover my bases.

Did one deal with Randy and it fell apart but not his fault. I was selling my turbine mystic Low Altitude and randy had a deal lined up with a trade for an Outerlimits. Well neither Randy or I had seen this OL in person and were told it was showroom, etc... I get the trucker lined up, he hooks on the boat and brings it to me. Well, when it showed up, I was like WTF this thing is a pig. So, I called Randy and said to just have the trucker take it cause there's no way in hell I'm letting him take my Mystic and be stuck with this turd. At this point I was only out the trucking of the Outerlimits, so Randy said OK and hauled it off. Long story short, the owner hadn't seen the boat in over 6 months, and the storage facility that was getting paid to keep it inside climate controlled, had left it outside, uncovered, filling up with water and growing mold.

Just worried with all the chit fukers in this industry. I called KY DMV and no liens appear on the boat so we shall see.

Well, we did the deal this weekend. Boat was everything advertised and more. Very smooth transaction. Randy seemed like a pretty decent person and his son is carrying on in the biz. Steven Miles paint job is outstanding.

Yes, it was Miles boat for several years from what I am told. Hope to get it back to him this fall for some needed touch-ups.

Amazing boat. I bet working on anything on those engines almost requires them being pulled. Looks like some tight spaces!

A general google search of his name including his old business will bring up a decent history of issues. The bankruptcy filed in 2012 is public record, it's now 10 years later, fair warning.

Its really not as bad as it looks. I can get my 6'2" 235Lb AzZ in there. once you get past the intake filters.

Title Notarized in hand from him. Registered it here the Monday I got back and now My Title in My Hand free and clear. Hopefully nothing can happen now.
I was concerned for sure writing that kind of ck reading some of the things I have.

Funny note- when I was filing title- they said uh Oh- I was like o chit here we go- She said the dealer should have filed it in Jan since that is when it was traded into him. Lady said Dealer is responsible for late fees. I am thinking Here we go. So I ask well what is the penalty and I guess I will TRY and get it- She said the Excise tax is $8.00 in OK. So I ask what is the fine- She said $8.00- Fine cant be more than Tax lol- I said I can handle that.

As small as this Go Fast world is I cant believe people can get away w some of the chit.
