Yeah, I used the engines out of my old boat, put about 25 hours on in the BT then the last ride of the year killed a rod bearing. The 454's were tired anyway so I planned on a rebuild or replacing with something different.

What do you think of the GMPP 572's crate motors with a cam change. Heard some good and some not so good.

Engines should pulled and torn down this weekend. Hopefully get the heads, intakes, and blowers over to Velaco by Friday.
Now I just need to figure out what cubic inch. Thinking about 540 short blocks. So I can use my existing b&m 250 super schargers, chillers, oil pans, intakes, timing cover ect. Thoughts?

The stringers and transom are pretty good.

imo as well as Saxmans, it will take 700 a side to see 80. Gregs 97 does carry the nose better and it is straight bottom. 525 efi and Bravos.
