Default Building motors for the 43 GT

So am going to build motors for my 95 43' gt throughout the winter months. The question I have is what do you guys think I will need for hp to get her in to the mid 80's?

Mine runs 72 with tired 575sci's. Doing the math i would guess somewhere between 700 - 750. If yours is a non stepped hull, I don't know how much it will hurt. Yours being a flat deck should help.

With 750s a 2000 43 will run right at 85 depending on load with 32p props.

lmfao.... Will the real Jason please stand up!!

Jason3603, I think some reliable 700hp 572's would be nice. They should run along time with no issues and should put you over 80 with no problem.

Best,
Jason Parvey
