Default Accident on Lake Champlain...

Looks like Jay/dirtycarr had a mishap last with his Fountain 38 last night. I hope he is all right.

Thanks Tom A. for letting us know.

This is the text that was on the news.

http://tv3.wcax.com/n/fri11p.htm

"An East Montpelier man was seriously injured in a boating accident tonight. It happened in Malletts Bay near Marble Island. Colchester Police say 30-year old Jay Carr was driving at high speed-- when he hit another boat's wake-- and lost control. Carr was thrown against his own boat's cockpit-- and was seriously hurt."

Jay's rig, he's had it for 3 months.

Just went to the Marina, boat looks all right.

From what I got and this is not verified

They were two in boat, as far as I know the other person was not hurt, looks like they must of hit a wave or something that made the boat swerve and Jay smashed his face in the Throttle/Shiffter assembly.

Broken nose and I am sure his mellon must be pretty messed up if he hit that... He is to be released from the hospital tomorrow.

Happened around 6PM on his way to pick up his gf at the marina.

Hope he's alright.
Nice looking rig.

Now, it's only a matter of moments before someone starts talking about steps, beaks....

Let's just be glad it wasn't anymore serious, and hope that he has a quick recovery.

Count down to the "we need speed limits" chorus...

Oh, wait, it's not an election year...
