Default State Farm and boating safety

This ad was in Boating magazines April 2008 edition. You'd think State Farm would know better.

The boat appears to be in forward motion. You can tell by how the water is cresting at the bow. If you look close you can tell that he does not have his lanyard on.

Though I've never needed it......It's good to know it's there.

Next will be ads in the motorcycle mags with some clown doing wheelies standing on the seat of his crotch rocket. Or not?

That ad is the clearest message that could ever be sent about the recreational boating hobby and industry. Boating is so much fun that nothing bad could possibly ever happen. Hang off the bow, get 30 of your best friends and pile them on, grab some brewskis and we're off for a day of fun in the sun.
