Most of the ski's in our area are not a problem although we do a lot of river running so there is not the typical round and round water traffic.

Like anything, there will always be the few that do not pay attention or run them carelessly.

I just wish the big cruisers would learn to obey slow no wake zones :)

Its not the ski, its the operators. I bought one a few years ago to play on when the lake kicks up to rough to boat. Its a freakin BLAST to play in 4&5 footers, and usually no boats are out except for the coasties. The only problem is trying to move the next day because I'm gettin old and fat:party-smiley-004:

Most of the operators are just so dam disrespectable to everyone around them. Besides trying to avoid the water bugs when running they annoy the Chit out of ya when they run 20' from you when your anchored or tied up at a restaurant dock.

I got flipped the bird by one last weekend after I had to come off of plane while avoiding a collision with him. I am currently shopping for the loudest air horn I can possibly buy. Anyone has ideas let me know what is best. The next time this happens I want to blast em with my horn when I am still 60yds from them..

I had to shut it down twice last weekend to avoid a accident with them. I dont think half the people riding them have any experience to operate a water vessel or any respect to other boaters.

If they're close enough to hit with a musky lure...

My father has been hit by jet skis on two seperate occasions. Once when he was under way and the second while he was beached. If I remember correctly they were both being driven by women.

I use my horn a lot. It's hard to believe that most (not all) operators have their head so far up their azz that they don't notice a 5000 lb power boat comming up on them and continue to zig, zag and change direction as if they were havin a seizure while driving. Why is it so F'n hard to simply pay attention to your surroundings??? :waffen093:

It does not matter if you have headers ,horns or a 9000 lb. boat, they still dont hear or see you and if you are unlucky enough to hit one of them -----Its law suit time defending yourself against some P.O.S. who has nothing and purchased some piece of crap jet ski that he could barley afford !!Even if you are lucky enough to win in court look at all the problems these jerks cause..

We call 'em lake lice too. I have a friend also with a 42 Fountain that put a train horn on his boat just for special occsions. To watch the way they jump and whip their heads around when he blasts them is just great!
