Got the chance to visit Lubbers Landing as we just got back from 12 days cruising the Abacos on our friends 53' Hatteras. We had the boat docked at a marina on Elbow Cay for 2 days. Since we didn't have a smaller rental boat, contacted Austin and without hesitation, he aboard his Pantera showed up and all 5 of us climbed aboard and away we went. Although we were only there a few hours, Lubbers Landing is awesome. Drinks and food were great and the cottages are definitely a great getaway. Will for sure be back for a weeks stay sometime in the future so we can enjoy more of Lubbers and The Abacos. So much better than Nassau and Freeport.

Myself and quite a few others on here have had more than one boating excursion to Bimini. It is small and not a lot to do, but when all you want to do is lay around and drink, it is the perfect place. Not to expensive once you get there. Plane ride there is about 15 mins. Boat ride is 45 miles. The party memorial day weekend a few years ago was probably one of the coolest I have ever been to. Fishing is awesome as well.
I have an Abacos plan one day as well. Glad to hear all of the good things about it.

Went to Bimini again this past weekend, even visited the brand new Bimini Bay casino! Bimini Bay (aka Resorts World Bimini now) is beautiful but expensive and looks more like Palm Beach than anything in the Bahamas. Bimini Big Game/Bimini Sands look the same and are more representative of what classic Bahamas is. Big Game now has a Bull Shark feeding cage at the marina, not really sure how wise that is! Train Bulls to hang around the marina waiting for scraps......but then what happens when a kid falls off the dock while getting off a boat?
Saw a 33 Powerplay on blocks tucked up beside a house on South Bimini a few hundred feet from the ferry docks. It had similar paint to the staggered race boat that used to be on the Powerplay website.
