Re: Checkmate Sold?
As a Checkmate owner I would like to commend and congratulate Bill Combs for a great product and one hell of a run for Checkmate Powerboats if indeed the company is changing hands.

Ok guys ... its officially a done deal. Doug Smith and company are the new owners of Checkmate. Bill and Doug both just left smiling :D

This is just what Checkmate needed!! They build an incredibly nice boat but they need some freshening in the design department.
Doug Smith will make the necessary changes to the molds to bring the great company up to date. I can't wait to see what they do!!! GOOD LUCK! |
Stepped hulls maybe? 38' ? Big power options? Can't wait to find out...
