Can anyone tell me what to expect from a 2000 259 with a stock 454 mag will run?

Also a 1996 253 with a stock 502 mag?


Kinda looking at both of these. I know they wont be 75mph boats, but I won't be happy running 55-60 either.

259 with 454 mag will run 65 + or - 2mph
253 with 502 mag will run 67 + or - 2mph

these numbers are ideal conditions, correct prop, low fuel, 1 or 2 people on board

Is this going to be on cumberland again this year?

How fast has anyone had checkmate 235 persuader and with what horsepower?

A buddy had one with a 465hp 502 and it went upper 70's.

A good friend of my Dad's has one with a pretty stout 555 in it that runs 92

There is a guy from Ohio that has one with a twin turbo 540 I believe. He is running well over 100 with it.

They are a very fast hull that handles really well.

well i've had my new to me 2007 270 496 mag non HO out twice with two different props same speed of 65mph. rev4 23p 65 at 5000 rpm. bravo1 26p 65 at 4600 rpm.

Went out again and did some more running and was able to see 67mph at 4900 with the 26p bravo.
