Hi, new to the forum.
Im from pittsburgh Pa and i just baught a 95 235 persuader with a 454 mag. Its winter time here and I wont be able to use it for a few months. I was wondering on what kind of speed i should be able to get. the person that sold it to me said it does 75. i doubt that but maybe the speedo is off.
I just wanted to see if anyone had one on here of anyone knows how fast it should be

Should be more like 65-66mph if propped right. You may want to inquire on Checkmate-boats.com for some answers. There are many Checkmate enthusiasts on that site running you same boat.

Anyone know a checkmate named "top secret",raced him at hardy pond 2 years ago with my baja,we went neck to neck for a few miles dead even ,showed 84 on gps afterwards
but he claimed he was running 91 mph at the dock. Was either a 28ft or 30 ft,white,had a merc its or imco extension box on it. Just curious what he had for power,Smitty
