That's serious speed. And Serious horsepower! :D
What type of front motor mounts are you using to handle that much torque and re-entry impact from being air born?

zt260 05-27-2011 06:40 PM

Unfortunately 100mph generally takes 1000hp ina zt260 to obtain. The hull is wide and not super efficient, but it can handle 100+mph with the right setup. :drink:

Checkmate does make a strong, solid hull with good ride. :flag:

I won't ask how much money it takes to join the 100MPH club... :lolhit:

The one good thing with a Chevy/Mercury based I/O is all your expensive hardware is transferable to most hulls....

Did not dyno the motor after adding the M3 so I'm not sure on hp. It originally dynoed at 638 hp and 690 ft lbs. I think around 900.

Try not to fly it to much. Just have aluminum offshore mounts on front. Going to send the prop off for a lab job and see where we are at. Right now just out of the box hydromotive P5 X 30 pitch turning 5200.

Impressive!
Can we see some pics of your engine and transom hardware, etc?
