my original prop is 22 pitch ,4 blade, bravo 1,last year I had it reworked to a 23 pitch with a lot of cup, this really helped it on top speed and stern lift, when triming up I can feel the 253 lift up on top of the water much more than with original specs,I just repowered to the 502,only 1 hour on new engine, taking it easy .

Thumbs up

I thought it was funny that Hydromotive was trying to talk me out of using their props. I told them that I put Whipples on my 454 mags and they didn't want anything to do with it. He did not want me to be disappointed with Hydromotive and go out and bad mouth them. Well...I got a real deal on a set of 28p. Q-4's. Lake Michigan was too rough to open it up all the way but what I got was a real thrill. At 4400 I was around 80 MPH. The acceleration was push you back in the seat. I hope the lake is better this weekend. I want to see if I can turn them up to 5000. I'm sorry Hydromotive, you were wrong. I love these props.

I bought a used labbed 24 off the OSO classifieds. I would like to try a 23 or 22. I'm getting 4800 rpm and around 72mph. I lost some rpm which was running 5000 with the Mirage and about 3mph top end , but I can control the boat now. The Mirage chine walked and got scary. Also don't have the porpoise problem I had cruising at 3000 rpm.

MATE 229 I TRIED A 22 HYDRO, RPM WAS 5300 WITH A TOP SPEED
OF 70MPH. HANDLING WAS AWSOME, I KNOW ALL ABOUT THE
SCARY CHINE WALKING WITH A THREE BLADE MIRAGE. A 23 PITCH
HYDRO FOUR BLADE SHOULD DO IT. RPM WILL BE AROUND 4950-5000 AND TOP SPEED SHOULD BE THE SAME AS MY 25 P MIRAGE.

The 22 pitch hydro went back to my friend.
He has a 25 baja that the prop came off from.
