Is a zt280 year 2000 any faster with a 496HO than a 502. seeing different numbers

I have a 2001 280 ZT 502 mpi 415hp. 64 GPS is the best ive ever seen. By myself and not many gallons on board.

From what im seeing the 496HOin the same boat will run the same or 1-3mph faster, smoother running motor with more mid range power. But the 502 mag has forged internals and is said to be a stronger motor
