I run them on my 283.
I have spent some time behind the wheel of a 253, with some power I could see a lot of benefit bumping up to a larger tab. They will also help in rough water depending on the boating you do.

I'm thinking them for my 251 as well.
Started a thread on the check forum but no hits yet.
Another thought was the Bennette sport tabs.

We bought some trim tabs from Hardin Marine and put them on our 259 Convincor. Awesome upgrade, made a huge difference in rough water. We would drop the tabs into a slight negative trim and keep the drive neutral and the boat would fly level in the rough, fun!
