In my opinion, I think the flames are nothing new. Just new to see on a Checkmate.
I think it will be dated soon if not already, just as much a checkered design. It seems many boats have the checkered theme on them now, and people will soon be looking to find something different. I am not knocking it, I own a 28 Checkmate myself. I even thought of adding something to my boat. But I had so many people tell me to keep it the way it is. It is a Real Classic Checkmate. So I decided to keep the original design being as it is in such great shape for an '89 and only about 19 of them have been made.
