LML 6.6

316 SS log headers

3in outer casing. Not sure why I didn’t use v band clamps here instead of the flanges but...

Heads had to be shipped out to so cal diesel to machine the injector bores to fit LMM sticks. Turned out at the time no one had figured out how to delete the VATS in the LML ecm but the LML bottom ends were considered stronger with better oil squirters. So they are LML’s with LMM fuel systems. All stock internal except for AF cams.

316 schedule 10 pipe for log headers and up pipes.

Fitted then tacked with mig. Tig welded next morning.

Sometimes ya just do what you have to do.
never claimed to be an engineer.
I did learn to Tig weld after leaving a couple small parts at welding shops and waiting weeks for a 20 minute to get done.

Ready to bolt on trans and dry fit engines and intercoolers.

Dry fit then pull out and paint the bilge. Intercooler tubing just mocked up at this point, automotive type power steering reservoir were later replaced by Latham marine.

Most of the rigging done. This is pretty much where I am today. Need to wire up engine harness and stand alone harness port engine. Reprogram ecm. Put back in boat. Tie in power steering. Install drives and hope the props are close to being right.
