Great to meet everyone, I've been looking for a distraction and never really subscribed to the "best day/buy and sell" for a boat owner adage. Always wanted a "go fast" boat and I'm fairly mechanical and enjoy a project.
Just picked up an old Chris Craft Stinger 375 (1988) and the hull is in surprisingly good shape. I'm going to keep it close to original (this won't be the "go fast" boat but just a project to keep me off the streets and get me caught up with all the changes since I last had a boat back in the mid 90s.
Look forward to learning all I can.
Are there any 375 forums, owners, and documents that folks that know the boat can point me too?
I'm going to stick with the TRS with the options to upgrade to Konrads in the future. I just don't see them in my price range that often and I'd like to get this thing in the water. I've got a full transom set that is in decent shape. I know the community has a lot of opinions on the TRS and I've weighed the good, the bad, and the really bad and think that TRS is the right option for right now. I'm planning to put about 415hp - 425hp per side in the boat and make the motors as "reliable", as possible.
Again, if anyone knows of any good information sources for this one, I'd appreciate the intel.
Thanks again.
