I have an Extreme platform that was on mine when I bought it. I saw that boat a while back. If it's a good running project boat, I think it's a good deal. Hopefully, you got a survey.

The only thing that looked fishy to me was the engine specs. It's hard to tell what has been done to the engines, but if the engines are not modified, the original brochure for the Bullets lists only 3 engine options (I'm sure Cig would have put anything a customer wanted in one though). Only 2 engine options had bravos, the 330 and the 365. It lists the 420's as having TRS drives.

Also, if you post the HIN number on here, we can read it for you. I have the code meanings at home somewhere.

Good luck!
Where do you boat at?

They're modifying a Heritage trailer to fit it, it had only an old yard trailer that was included. I'll be using it around Lafayette LA, Vermilion Bay and offshore, Cypremort pt, I am new to the offshore scene, but after looking through OSO, I's like to try a few local poker runs.

Heres the HIN: CRT31B12J788

The engines have 200 hrs, on the rebuild, I did a "boatfax" type deal online, looked clean, I am trying to schedule a survey before I purchase, but dont know if I am able to wait! I am very interested in any original Cigarette documents-owners manuals, brochures, etc. the only thing that the dealer has is for the engines. I really appreciate the help!

Do they have any paperwork on the re-builds? I have that problem, since I have no idea how well and with what parts my engines were built with. They can blow on the next outing or last 5 years

OK here's the HIN code:
CRT = Cigarette
31B = 31' Bullet
12 = the hull number made
J = month made 10th letter = 10th month = Oct
7 = year made = 1987
88 = model year

This was how it was explained to me. Also, there is a bullet thread here you can search for that has the entire Bullet manual available as a PDF file. If the engines do have 400+ hp and the drives and props are good, you should see mid 60's for your speed.

If you've read any of the other Bullet threads, I don't think you will ever find anything bad written about them except that it takes major power to have high speed numbers. They take the seas as well as any boat under 38', are very stable, and have a nice cabin for a 31 footer. AND it's about the cheapest way to own an offshore legend!

BTW, I have to warn you. If you do a poker run, you may become addicted. Unfortunately, PR's are VERY expensive, but more fun that just about anything you can think of. I usually spend between $600-$1000 for a single poker run (between gas, slip, DVD and entry fee). I did one last year that I spent $700 on JUST for the fuel! Hopefully, you won't be quite so bad. Carburated blower motors probably drink 50% more than yours will.
