Flat water, GPS speed, without playing with the trim (we ran out of lake) (small lake) 68.3 MPH. The boat is a solid 70mph and maybe 73mph. I'll sacrifice a little speed for a more balanced and reliable boat.

As for the small blocks, they will be built for centrifugal superchargers to be installed at a later date. We really want the reliability of injection. They are much easier tune.

How difficult was it to remove your engines, with the 10inch area there? We have not removed the engines yet. Help PLEASE! The impellar install looks like a nightmare............................

The impellers are a pain. You have to remove the whole assembly and "look" with your hands. Air tools help. Removing the engines was very easy. I brought it to the local boat shop and told them to do it. With the small blocks all you have to do is remove the exhaust and unbolt the bellhousing from the tranny and slide it forward a couple inches and then take it out at an angle leaving the tranny in place. It took my guys (Lightning Bay Performance Marine) 2.5 hours to pull both motors.

I'm sure your boat will run pretty good with a pair of blown small blocks. Good Luck

Did you finish your boat, Dave?

I'm curious about the c/g with putting bravos on the back. How much, if any, does it throw the center of gravity off by moving the engines back? We have been toying with the idea of a little short staggering of the engines, so not to throw the c/g to far out and make it easier to work on. I don't know if this has been tried before.

Fuel tanks are under the floor and it has a pump-out head in the cabin.

My dad had one of the early ones. It had blue and silver stripes and a blue windshield. I always loved that boat.

My boat is not done yet. I was hoping to get it done by the 4th of July but I work too much and don't have a lot of time to do stuff. And I decided to re-wire the whole boat too, that kinda took some time. I'm hoping to be floating by early August, hopefully sooner.

i think the 8-10 inch space behind the rear seat is to do with the type of trans that is used. most of them used merc trans but later models used borg-warner trans . the borg trans is about 6-8 inchs longer thats where the space is needed in the front of the engine to use that trans.

Had this OS and sold it about a year ago for some unknown reason!

Now I'm looking at a couple other OS's. Not a lot of them around.
