I just saw this boat for sale on that auction site that rhymes with "we play". It is definetly the Rio Roses boat. I looked at it a few months ago and would have bought it in a minute, I just can't lay out the coin until I get rid of some other toys and he wasn't interested in my trade. Sweet boat though.

Did this 33 Cafe open belong to the same original owner as this Tiger at one time?

And does anyone know the owner of this one? I saw it (I'm pretty sure it was it, or one with VERY similar paint) running out of the harbor I live next to (channel islands, Ca) about 6-8 months ago.

email response to bottom paint question
Hi - thanks for your email. Bottom paint is simply where smart owners of boats that are docked for a period of time have a special protective 'removable' coating sprayed on the bottom to just above the water line to protect the bottom of the boat that is under water when docked. Going back a ways, this Cigarette was docked for a period and the bottom and the owners had an extra coating added to protect the bottom (you can see it as the blue coating in some pics). Once it was no longer being docked, but dry storage, the blue bottom paint coating was simply removed which the bottom returned to the solid white as you see in the photos. Hoping this answers the questions. If you have any others, please let us know. No question is too small. Really! Kate & Tom |

[QUOTE=dreamer;1735994]dont think its a cig[/QUOTE
That's my uncle's friends boat. It is a cig. Think one of 11 made in 97. The hardtop and the bolsters were customs add ons that Kurt did. The boat originally had the forward facing arch with a black canvas top but there wasn't room for the telescoping outriggers and rocket launchers. I think the hard top gave it a little better look...especially if you look on the top the name "stress test" is on it. |

Otherwise, it's probably an Ocean Hawk. btw, by my count we only have 9 here. 1. Mine - green/black - 99 2. Black w/red boot stripe 275 verados - in Southold, NY 3. Living Legend - yellow, green - was in Hampton Bays, LI and sank - was then auctioned - have no idea where it is now 4. Rio Roses - Now all white - in NJ 5. the 97 brochure boat - green/yellow/etc 6. purple/yellow/blue - 02 boat 7. Blue "bubble" boat 8. Black/Yellow - T-Top boat 9. Yellow/Purple/Green - in PR |
CavOK is a 2002 here is my hull#CRTUS002I102. The Total # made under the Cig Program I know bealive is 22(97-02) first 11-13 at oceanhawk the rest at Cigarette. I love my/our boats it was a design that was done right by PC from day one! Just did a re-engine twin 300xs the boat was good before... well it is great now! WOT is 62 MPH(22 bravo1 light) but down here in Puerto Rico that means little 4 foot is a great day for us. The much needed mid range is the best result of the re engine, theese boats are relatively heavy for their size and need the HP.The rough water seawothiness of my boat is what I enjoy the most, 45 MPH with the 4-5 footers is alot of fun and nonevetfull! I have been able to gather ALOT of sales memorabilia via the internet it is out there.

----Is anyone familiar with a 33 ft. Gulfstream CC? Made in the Cig factory out of a blocked off 36 wide-body I have been told and then rigged by Gulfstream. Supposedly very few made (around 10). All seem to have had twin 250 E-Tecs. I love the one I bought 3 years ago off of Flea-bay. Was new in 1997, and repowered in 2006. Ill try to have a friend post a pic.......Bill S
