i raised the x dimension on mine when i converted to Bravos. boat breaks loose getting on plane but not too bad. 425hp running 26" Bravo I props and turning just under 5000rpms, the boat runs 68-69mph. props are spinning outward.

i still havent tried to wring it out, but my first impression is that I need more bow lift. boat requires a lot of trim...and i havent decided if it was that way before the conversion or not...

any ideas on how to get more bow lift? I really dont want to switch to 3 blade props, but i think it is worth a try...

Try some hydromotive 4 blades may lift the bow more, or turn the props inward.

my 99 top gun is realy a cafe hull no notch like a top gun i put 2inch short sport master lowers didnt like to get on plane then i put a one inch spacer didnt make it much better changed the way it got on plane instead of walking it up i had to push the throtttle to about 3,000rpm and wait for the props to start to bite know i put a 2 inch spacer its a little better we called mercury race division they said the older cigs dont like the sportmaster lowers with out boxes on the boat the sport lower they said makes it harder to get on plane i am back at the stock hieght and still doesnt get on plane like it did with reg lowers but once on plane runs nice. i might do boxes over the winter dont know yet .
