66 with trips is a pig... Sorry, just laying it out as I see it folks...
My boats a pig too, 37 Midnight CC with triple 225's 60 mph. Kinda funny though, for some reason those Fountains, Yellowfins, Contenders, (Sea Vees Sea hunters please....) never seem to find their way outside of the inlet when it's a little rough apples to oranges .

Sea Hunters are really not one to pick on.. Fast, well built, gaining a hell of a rep here in S Fl... And as for the rest, I assume you have never fished one of our winter billfish tournaments? We dont ever seem to schedule on on a calm weekend.. I'm betting I wont see a Cig or a Midnite fishing those this year...

BTW, given the choice, the Mid would be mine.. Awesome mold work, rigging and components... You got a keeper there, even if its "piggy"

WOW. They have winter in Florida? The guys that own the Midnights are probably out in their 60++++ Sportfishers laughing at all the dumb azzes getting their brains beat out.

Come on dude I know the boats that were mentioned are all awesome boats, take a ride in a 6,000 lb boat and then jump in mine @ 12,500. I've been in both my buddy sold his Yellowfin w/ trips because he could not believe the difference in ride of my old "piggie" compared to his high speed yellowfin. You can call it whatever you want. (couldn't keep up with me)

Do you own on of the boats mentioned ? If so you know that when you are down to 12 knots in 4-6's getting you brains bashed and I'm still cruising by you at a 38 Knots, you'll figure out the difference quick. If not you are welcome to take a ride on my piggy offshore

Top Speed is great, I wish my boat would do 70-80 but the reality is you will never sustain these speeds in the rough. All boats are trade offs.

You are talking about two different classes of boats. I don't think Cigarette's aim was at the hard core anglers. The new 39' is a multipurpose boat where fishing is not a primary need, if at all.

I don't think the name Top Fish is fitting. Tha boat is aimed at a different clientle who want's a "multipurpose boat."

You cannot compare this boat with the other large center consoles on the market. If anything the 39 Midnight is the only boat that has equal comparison in style/ performance etc. Of course I'm partial to Midnight's.

The new Cig is cool, even without the BASS PRO SHOP STICKER

Thanks, sorry about long winded, had to keep changing my original train of thought. I've been told to count to 10.

Is there an echo in here? My point exactly.

Why is the Donzi CC not mentioned when compairing these boats? There's a 35' down the street from my house for sale and appears to be a really nice boat. My father in law is concidering buying it. Twin 225's I believe. Nice layout with cabin, head, bait wells, lots of seating. And of course, it's a cousin of cig

I own a Whitewater, but have fished the others. The bigger Contenders are NOT 6 k boats, do the research.. Hell, their 25 weighs that much, I have the certified scale slip to prove it..

I think someone else covered my earlier point, let me refresh your memory: if your gonna name it TOP FISH, you best be able to back it up.. 66 mph aint gonna cut it, poor fishing amenities aint gonna cut it, poor cockpit layout for fishing aint gonna cut it, and the lack of rod storage certainly aint gonna cut it.. Now, if it was named "top bar to bar cruiser with a cabin and a sink in a weird location", well, then it would cut it..

As far as Donzi, I'm a Donzi guy.. I am not sure I consider their CC's fishing boats either...

I'll be sure to let you know how many I see fishing the tournament trail this winter down here in the land of sun n fun.. We will have 110+ boats at my tournament, care to place a friendly wager on how many will be "Top Fish's"?

And, once more to repeat myself: NOT SLAMMING CIG HERE.. They built what they think their market wants.. They just might want to reconsider the name of it
