Buy a TG,the resale is the best in performance boats, you wont be dissapointed. In my humble opinion of course.
I agree with ya 100%, nothing rides like a TG. Since I was not a Fountain Fan, nor never rode in one, I was very surprised to see that it rode so well. Since this thread was from a previous PQ owner looking for info, I was trying to relate to his situation. Since I came from a PQ and making a comparison, on a scale of 1 to 10, the Cig rides like a 10, the Fountain 7 or 8. Which is "closer" than 1 which would be my refernce point - the PQ. The ride of the TG still amazes me, even after owning it 2 1/2 years. IMHO, anyone who buys one will not regret thier decision - (provided they are financially able to afford it).
Powerquest 380 - Take you time, and find a nice TG. I seached about 1 1/2 years to find one that was taken care of and was "the right one" for me. Beware- pictures lie!

A little more expensive if you compare brands, but they hold there value better, and they are worth it. There may be some boats cheaper, but none better than the "1"

Plus they ride so well, you'll be putting the hammer down much further.

Thanks, PM. Yes, it was good to see you too. I hope you had a great time up there. It was definitely great weather!
When Barb and i were looking for a Cigarette we initially included the 35 Mistress and Cafe Racer boats but the more we looked the more we decided on a 38. At the time (fall 2002-early 2003) there just weren't a lot of Cigarettes that were worth the asking price, either because the boats were overpriced or because they were in much poorer condition than they were represented to be in the ads. Everyone owns a "10, inside and out!" when in reality the boat is (amd I'm being generous here) a 5 outside and a filthy 3 inside. It still amazes me that people will list a boat and leave last seasons' beer cans, liquor bottles, dirty dishes, dirty clothes and swimwear laying all over in the boat. And then you look in the engine room,,,,,,,,,,yeah, that's a pretty picture too.
We had been watching the "Party Dall" here on OSO for quite a while and had talked with Dave Dall a few times but it wasn't until February of 2003 that we were able to come up with a deal that both parties could live with. Dave Dall was a great guy to deal with and this boat has been everything it was represented to be.
Take your time, find the right boat and you'll never be disappointed.
