you did a great job on this restoration!! I am doing a 28ss right now. Do you still have the old bolster seats?IF you want to get rid of them I think I can use them. once again awesom restoration - thanks

Re: 38 Flatdeck Redo Complete
ChrisBB: The bolsters in the boat now are actually the originals, but reconfigured with head-rest and recovered.
I have the original curved aluminum frames that the seats were attached to if you are interested. Jack |

US MUSL,
thanks for the response - I hate the 3 man bolster in my 28ss but like the colors - I am looking for a vintage set of bolster seats to have redone in my colors. once again - great restoration - best luck with it Chris |

I think your boat was bought thru Phil Lipschutz/Ron Doller by Mike Dever in Cinti who owns a number of auto dealerships thru parent company Automanage, Inc. Boat sat at Four Seasons Marina in Cinti for years, seldom left the marina. Mike had another boat(cruiser) at Four Seasons called Miss Manage. The person who owned Utterly Fantastic was Andy Trauth a Cincinnati(Newport, KY) business person that owned a dairy processing plant called Trauth Dairy. His son(?) had a cat that was called The Utter Boat. Nice people! This may help answer some questions on the history of your boat. Katz |
