Re: Cigarette Customer Support...does It Exist ?
Why are you guys calling Cigarette factory.
Why not just call a Cigarette dealer and ask them for what you are looking for. Rick OSG |

Oh, so thats why they're so darn slow. I didn't realize they were sculpted from solid marble. Or maybe they're cast in bronze ? :):) |
Re: Cigarette Customer Support...does It Exist ?
I have never had a problem getting a return phone call. I have left message for parts, Bud, and Skip and have always gotten a return call. I have also used Tres and Phil when I needed parts or had a question and both provided me great service/ Im sure that most people in the boating industry are scrambling to get ready for the show of all shows. MIAMI !!

Re: Cigarette Customer Support...does It Exist ?
Have to give Phil at Lipship a thumb's up, i called for him, gave me his cell and talked to him I believe when he was eating lunch. Great information and a straight shooter. I hope I am able to do business with him because that makes you feel good about spending that kind of money. BTW, it is a week before the show and he still took the time, my bad for even bothering him this week, i guess i owe him lunch!! Hammer

"Why are you guys calling Cigarette factory.
Why not just call a Cigarette dealer and ask them for what you are looking for. " Back when I was in sales for a Cigarette Dealer I got Skip on the phone to ask him a question about a boat one of my best cleints was getting ready to purchase. Skip was condescending and treated me as second rate. A month later I was at the factory and again was treated like a knat. (Went by to see Phil and was treated great!!!) I think that Cig still builds one of the best big water boats, and have created a work of art in the process. But the customer service is sub par and Skip as an owner has forgot who REALLY sells his product. I own a High Performance Boat Dealership and my personal boat is a Cigarette (From when the one and only true owner of Cigarette was in charge), but I feel for the Cig dealers who have to try giving customer service while dealing with the ego. |
Re: Cigarette Customer Support...does It Exist ?
Its a shame that Harry Judge passed on. He was a man who knew how to get just about anything done.
I agree that its going to be tough to get a new deck from Cigarette, or any manufacturer for that matter. That's a tall order. You can't call your local Chevy dealer or the Factory and ask for a new body on your 1984 Chevy Celebrity. You may have more luck searching for a wrecked/totaled hull, and stripping off the deck to add it to your hull. |
