There are others on here that would know better -- but I would have to say based on the cabin layout and the lack of a notch in the transom that it is not a 94'. I would think closer to a 88'.
Am I right with this or off base, -- anyone?

No doubt about that!!

MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET A SURVEY BY A QUALIFIED MARINE SURVEYOR THAT YOU HIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It wouldn't be more that $1500 to complete that cabin. It looks like most of it is there. Just remember....deals that seem too good to be true, usually are too good to be true!! Cover your azz!

I'm not 100% positive, but I believe that 1989 was the last year for that layout. Maybe it was a special order? We could tell by the HIN.

Mine is a 1988 and has the notch.....but it was originally a #3 drive (with 572 Hawks) boat and is a kevlar hull.

Checking the vin would be the start -- the 87's didn't have the notch from what I've seennot sure about the 88's

Myself I'd leave it without the cabin and maybe just a covergirl for storage, and they're right it is pretty cheap if it is sound structure and mech.

I have to agree, I haven't seen any of the 90's year vintage w/o a notch and with the older style cabin. I'd bet it
s a late 80's boat.

even if its a late 80s boat, for 40 its a decent buy, if survey and leakdown pass.
and i'd finish it as a 1/2 cabin .
With it being all white. you can't tell w/ a quick look how old it really is.

hmmmm..thanks guys, if it is an 80's boat it certainly would seem less valuable, at least to me.

Old School is right! I must have been snoozin when I saw the pics. It is definately not a 94. First year for that cabin layout was 1991. Pool Whore might jump in here to give us some input as he has a 91 for sale. I do not know about the notched transom though. I would be careful especially if the owner is telling you it is a 94. If he doesnt know himself be careful. My 2cents

Confirmed..it is a 1987. I was going to buy it, finish it really nice and offer it for re-sale, now I'm not sure what I'd be able to profit.
