I just bought My 1st Cig. It's not in ideal shape, but it's solid and is useable this year as is. It has been poorly painted solid red which according to the owner was the original color. I will probably plan on a red/white/black scheme with at least the topside white.

Anyway, just a ballpark if you don't mind.....5K....10K....15K....Uh-Oh...it may not be painted soon if it's more...
wayne,

finding someone that will let you do the prep may be tough. i wanted to do the same thing buy Vincent told me he has been down that road before and ended up having to reprep everything to his standards anyway. you CAN save money by removing everything from the boat before you take it to the painter like i did. my bill was between 5-7k.

more pics. the shine on the black is amazing in person

keeping it clean is going to be fun

Yep, I had a black boat myself long ago. Absolutely beautiful but never again! In fact, no black vehicles of any kind for me (except the Harley! ). Nothing looks better when they are clean but it's keeping them that way that is the beotch!

BTW, I love the Ciggie 1 on the transom. Just to let everyone else know who is #1 as you blow by!!!
