OC Barry,
It sounds like you are putting together a great project as well. I would be curious to see how you built the fairing. I plan on building it out of 1" decolite, faired, painted and capped with a padded top rail. Does yours follow the dimensions of the stock windsheild ? Chris |
Fairing & single bolsters
Chris - We went old school and built the fairing out of 1/8" aluminum plate. I made removable top caps which my upholstery guy is padding and covering. Yes, it follows the contour VEE of the windshield, kind of like an old Fountain raceboat. A few years back I made a fiberglass fairing for my old 34' Coyote and I just found that the aluminum was much quicker and it's a nice looking fairing as well.
By the way, I went the other direction and built a three-man standup bolster, so I will sell you the two single bolsters I took out really cheap; like $200 for the pair. Barry |
OC Barry,
I would love to get those single bolsters from you. what kind of shape are they in? any pics? |
