Toasty,

The K-5's are brass plated with bright nickel - I stripped them apart - tumbled them and then sent them to Franklin plating in North Phily. they were copper plated - polished and then Nickel plated. They look brand new.

toasty

yes they have to come comletely apart - they are very simple.

I am expecting them to hold up very well since they lasted 30? yrs with the nickle plating that was on them previously.

Yes, I am going to keep the martini color scheme. - I am only going to make a few cosmetic changes to the boat and plan on keeping the origional look .

I am doing all of the mechanicals to the boat this season and over the winter plan on the cosmetics.

plans include -

3 man bolster - has to go - I hate it
fairing to replace where windshield was - none on the boat now
topside paint
old style script decals
etc.

Chris
