Default Stand Off Boxes

Has anyone ran standoff boxes on a conventional bottom 38 gun? If so what were your results?

Thanks!

Some have had porpoising problems with the boxes.

I asked phil about it on my 99 staight bottom and he said they were going to be more trouble than they were worth speed wise. 1-2mph for more headache and about 6 grand for a set, so i took his advise and passed on them at the time

but man do i like them on my step bottom, keeps the prop in the water a little longer

Thumbs up

Like I said in my thread. Its amazing the difference that we have experienced on our 98 flat bottom gun. Well worth the money I think a lot of it has to do with who rigs them and the quality of the job. Our boat is like a whole new ride. I heard a lot about the porpoising but absolutely not true with our application.
