He said the ID number was unreadable but he would sand it to see if it appears

Giveaway is the beam is only 7' and Cig and Banana were the only 24' boats that were 8'.

Also neither company made a deck like that with the cockpit going all the way to the gunnels.

Here is a pic of the Cig 24 brochure pic, a pic of my 1988 Banana Boat and the boat on ebay. You can see that the deck is completely flat and not raised at all nor rounded.

You can tell the beam by the space between the seats.

The ebay boat cockpit goes all the wat to the rubrail, but my boat has a 6" cat walk between the cockpit and the rubrail and even then has more space between the Bolsters.

I'm sure your right. My 24 cig is basically flat across the transom certainly not curved like the E-Bay boat. As was posted in another thread, the stickers are cheap and available.
