Sorry, I haven't seen that one before. There's at least one for sale here and also do a Bullet search on this site for more info and possible boats for sale as there was recently someone asking about Bullets a few weeks ago.

Cigarette Bullet
Here's a long shot. Looking for a clean 88 with the original wave graphics(black, red, silver). It was used as their brochure boat Any information would be great
|
As with any used boat... get a survey! :D
It will let you know if anything major is wrong. But, more importantly (to me), it lets you know that the boat is "real" and not a scam. Good luck! |
I've only seen the brochure boat with those graphics. I would think that only a few were made (somewhere between 2 and 5). Chances of finding one in great shape with a willing buyer and not spending what a Cafe or Gun would cost......slim and none. As previously posted, there were only 68 made over like a 5-6 year span total. I would guess there are less than 50 around in the US right now.
Check with Carter31 and SteveH on this site. They may still have ones for sale. |
Got access to 4 I have 2 all redone and on trailers nice boats.
|
There ya go! I never liked the the brochure boat anyway!
If you've read other threads for the Bullets, you already know they handle rough stuff great, but need big power to go fast due to weight and width. Also have a nice cabin with an enclosed head. Carter, what power are in your 2 boats? I love mine! |

will be selling mine as soon as the new cabin upholstery is done. mild 540's with 60 hours. new drives. gimbals, gauges, exhaust, and upholstery. 2004 alum. trailer included.

Thanks for the info. guys. What I liked about the brochure boat was it's simple lines. I saw one at the N.Y. city poker run a few years back. Great job on the one you posted the pictures on. Classic color scheme, very tasteful.

I would sell mine right now for $59,900.
But, in March the price will be $69,900! :D |

While people are asking Bullet graphics questions, does anyone know of, or has seen any all red gelcoat Bullets other than mine and the one in Norway/Sweden?
Don't mean to hijack the thread, I'm just curious. |

And while we're still on the subject of Bullets.....
Did anyone ever buy the all white Bullet down in LA that was at least partially sunk (maybe hurricane damage)? The guy wanted to sell it for under 20K if I remember correctly. That one may be a good project boat for 10-15K? Spend 30K and it might be a decent boat. |

Carter, thanks for the photos. On the 88, any cockpit, deck, or cabin photos. How long ago were the graphics done. Was that one of kevin's boats from midwest.(a real gentleman)
Thanks |
I'm also curious about power, props and speed in each. I need to gauge what to do with mine to go faster :)

Don't wanna hijack this thread, but since you're Bullet experts, I'd like to ask a question.
I looked at a Bullet this past weekend at LOTO and it had a crack in the deck right where the right side steps up. Is this a common issue for Bullets? Have you guys experienced this? Thanks! |

Very common on bullets they crack usally up by the helm and at the vents by the gas lids also. Most bullets you see redone have been fixed put them back in big water sooner or later they are coming back. Every boat has a weak point somewhere something has to give some are just in covered areas and some are not.

Are these cracks more cosmetic than structural? IE, just wondering if it's much of an issue as far as considering buying one.
I've only seen one Bullet that didn't have them....and it wasn't used much. Before I bought my Top Gun, I called and talked with Craig Barrie and Scott Smith. Scott told me exactly where to look in the cabin (at the foot of the berth) and he assured me that it would have some cracks there. He was right. It was explained to me that they are not structural and it's a result of square angles and the flexing of the boat. That being said, you HAVE to get a survey and have the transom, stringers and bulkheads checked out!!!!!!!! They are a different story!!! |
only cracks on mine are attached to my gf. :)
|
:drink: And my g/f's are the one I'm trying to put on a boat! :ernaehrung004:
