I bought the boat used and have had it for 2 seasons. It came to me with 97 hours and it now has 160. It has the 500 efis and the boat will do 78 mph, it is a non stepped boat. It is a true 30' boat that handles well in the ocean. Not to mention it is a Cigarette

I bought it new 00 Annapolis Boat Show and it would do 80 to 82 MPH.
The only thing I didn't like about it was that you had to run tabs almost all of the time. We talked about sending it back to Cigarette to have the notch removed. That is the fix.
Sold it with 32 hour on it. It was my first Cigarette. Bought it from the best, the late Harry Judge!
Nice boat!

explain more about the notch, pics would be great, but an explination would do too,

how about drive spacers for more drive in the water or ext boxes for the porpose?

how about differnet props, 5 blade?

You don't need spacers or extension boxes.
The boat needs more running surface on the bottom. Cigarette took the notch out in newer production runs.

Can you talk about the notch a little more. Not sure what is referred to as the notch. How much work is it to remove the notch? Will Cigarette remove the notch? Who else is qualified to remove the notch?
