How does the Boat/Arnesons handle the rough water compared to #6 or Bravo drives?

Yeah, I just read the powerboat article with Skip Braver. I understand his logic but personally, I prefer having lots of power/drive options.

Better.

The boat is more hooked up feeling than they are with the Bravo drive units. The boats handle exceptionally well in the rough as well as the smother water conditions.

If anyone thinks the propeller will be out of the water all the time, look at the boat and look at the waves.

If the wave is larger enough to get the boats bottom in the air, then the propellers are in the air. This is the same for every outdrive as the propeller shaft is only 3-5" below the boat bottom. How many days have you aired your boat out in 5" waves? I think we call them ripples.

Rik;

Any comment on the "king of shaves" boat still having a notch?

I think the Feb. issue of PB has the picture of the bottom.

The notch is there just as it left Fountain.

Look at the photos you are referring to.

Hey Rik, What will it run me to convert my TRS drives over with the plug in kit you are talking about? I have 775 hp blower engines, and the transmissions are new?

No drive issues! That is gold right there!

The standard #7M Kit, aka Bravo Conversion Kit, works on all I/O applications. I've done several TRS conversions and there is a HUGE gain in speed over a TRS drive unit.

Your transmissions are plug in or flange mount? I use flange mount for my drive line.
