Default Cig 20 w/Surface Drive

Due to the limited availablility of the Blackhawk drive...do you think an Arneson would work? Anyone tried this?

Theres lots of BH drives around. Just gotta look for them.

Props on the other hand can be tough.

Why not the Bravo XR ITS Sportmaster setup? Or are you doing lots of HP?

The counter rotating props on the BH is what makes it ideal...it currently has a Bravo 3. With a single prop and big HP I understand the boat wants to torque over.

Ha! I already sent him an e-mail about it...haven't heard back yet.

Wonder of Arneson can do a Bravo 3 conversion?

You could do a arneson conversion but the X-Dim you currently are running with the B3 will have to be checked against what Arneson recommends. I spoke with a guy (GEOO) who had an ASD-6 on a Donzi X-18 (pic attached) and it worked great. I remember the pics of it and the drive was mounted very close to the keel. So close in fact that the drain plug was moved to accomodate the drive. Keep in mind it did not have a standoff box like you guys are talking about. The bravo conversion kit (pic attached) is a cool idea but keep in mind that it will stick out extremely far off of the transom.

Omerta One, your 20 is killer! just bump up the power a little bit and run the B3. It is a very nice ride.
