Maybe not all, but I have seen alot of new Cigs in the paint booth all taped up. It all depends on how far along the boat is and production deadlines. Boats can be shipped to the painter with the gimbals and tabs on and some even have the exhaust installed.

That Skater looks like something a Gay Cabellero from Texas would own. :grinser010:

I guess we'll have to call him "Poncho" from now on.

In a perfect world yes, but not always, as just confirmed by someone at the factory.

Maybe you are just not at the "right" factory???

Do you paint your custom car and leave the bumpers and trim on it???

Maybe you are not on the right planet? It happens. I didn,t say all the time, or, that it is right. But, the fact is that I personally have seen a fair amount of new Cigs in the paint booth with taped up gimbals and tabs . And, YOU wouldn't even be able to tell the difference.

Mine was painted assembled. And when I had local painters look at it regarding a repair, they all insisted it wasn't. It was painted at Cig BTW, not one of the super painter dudes.

When I repainted my Gladiator you could see where the boat had been painted with the tabs, ITS, and some hardware on the boat... Painted by Richy Rich the first time... And by super painter dude Vincent the second....

Skater does it right like BLee posted. You'll be able to tell over time. Not everyone including Cigarette does everything the best way possible.
