That boat looks just plain bad...very classy lines. I want a ride!

I'm sure we'll see some good numbers once Philly dials it in.

You need another (honest) 75-100 horses per side to hit that reliably in a XR shorty boat. That would say a lot for the NXT if they get it.

Walkway around deck.
Keeps you more secure in sit down cockpit.
Looks killer:drink:

bmanafort 10-10-2008 06:46 AM

love it

ktron 10-10-2008 08:55 AM

I think 110 is totally attainable! The 39's run 104-105 and the Glads are 4-5 mph faster with the same power. It all depends on the setup.

THEJOKER 10-10-2008 09:02 AM

A+

This is how it looked at our factory tour back in March.

That would be a strong testament to the NXT.

agreed

Not being facetious here but the Donzi 38 Comp. sees 115 with the 700 NXT so the Gladiator should easily see 110.

you better not start trouble again with my people... :evilb::evilb:

i do agree with you though, 110 should not be an unrealistic number...

new quad step bottom though

True, that is why I said 110ish. The Gladiator is supposedly lighter than the Comp too. My 2003 twin step Comp has seen 110 with 700 hp bravos. I know they are lighter than the NXT set up but overall the boat is still heavier.

Jupiter Sunsation 10-11-2008 04:57 PM

Boat is a weapon!

Is this boat sold or Phil's new toy?

BLee 10-11-2008 06:16 PM

The whole thing about this boat that will be the HUGE difference, is it's ability to do big speeds in sloppier conditions. It's going to stay hooked up to the water SO much better.

Yeah that will be the boat to get a deal on, being a one off by Phil!

Whoever buys that boat will pay all the money to have a boat they can never sell, should fit in well in the OSO classifieds! :ernaehrung004:

Well, I don't know about that (I'm no psychic)...But I know it'll be another boat that will be out of your price range that you can keep talking about to make yourself feel better in the hopes that some day maybe you'll be able to finally afford a Cigarette. cheers back at cha:ernaehrung004:

Jupiter Sunsation 10-13-2008 05:26 AM

Tank,

Got to keep you and Stecz on your toes (gets you guys off your knees for a few minutes)!

Boat is cool but I would imagine it will cost more than a 39 TG/700 boat (500K+). I think you could buy a ragged out Gladiator and repaint/repower/re-upolster for significantly less and have the same cool result. I like all of Phil's stuff whether it is a 20 or a 46 RR. That guy is what Renntech is to Mercedes or RUF is to Porsches.

NJgr8ful 10-13-2008 08:22 AM

BadA$$ :ernaehrung004: Like to hear some #'s! and see in person :drink:

So they mount and assemble all the transom hardware, motors, drives, etc before painting, then guess they pull it all off again to paint it??

pm203 10-13-2008 08:29 AM

This thread is about the last Gladiator, not about resale values, not about what you could buy for the same money, not what you could rebuild for less money. Its about Phil deciding to build one more Gladiator which probably happens to be the last Gladiator. It is being built because he thought it would be fun and also cool.(Isn't that why we are here?) He could have sold the boat several times during the build, but passed at the time. Please enjoy this thread for what it was intended for and leave any negativity out of it.

NJgr8ful 10-13-2008 09:04 AM

pm203, I tried to get back on track!! :evilb:

Answer my question on build/paint process. I have not had the pleasure of going thru a new hull boat build rig process with Cig factory yet :)

pm203 10-13-2008 09:20 AM

Most boats are painted after all the transom hardware has been installed.

Tom A. 10-13-2008 10:16 AM

Any more pictures, info, performance data.......

hmmm, not sure I'm with ya on that bro. Most are painted with the boat as "naked" as possible.
