Jerry's may have been the last one out of the mold, but I would think that the last Gladiator to leave the factory would have claim to title of the last Gladiator.

This whole thread cracks me up only a few of us enjoying Phils build for what it is and the rest picking it apart. This is Phil's boat and he's not on here nor started the thread and he never said it was the last one. I'm sure Cig will build you one if you want one.

I like the boat and don't care if it's the last one or the first one because it's the baddest one!

Codered 10-15-2008 10:54 AM

I am not picking the boat apart , it is beautiful and i do like his other work he has a niche with Cig. All im saying in my opinion is that this is not the last Gladiator as the thread states , regardless of when it was finished or left the factory or whatever the number does not lie.

If they set aside a 38 bare hull for the next ten years and then all of a sudden stopped producing 38's. Pulled the 38 hull out of the back room where it'd been sitting for 10 years and finished it at the factory making it a 2018 model....It'd be the last 38. Vin number is nonconsequential.

So yea, it is the last gladiator. No other 09 models. No others will be built (unless you pay up a large sum and even then I'd bet it'd be hard pressed to get it done). The vin may be 49 but it's the last gladiator built. So the thread and the boat stay the same. Get over it.

I bet if you whine a little more for us we might be able to change it for you. :grinser010: Did you get your deposit refunded because of this perceived technicality?

Codered 10-15-2008 12:16 PM

The year of production is in the HIN# if i am correct so it is not a 2009 ,and if 2009 is stamped in a 2 year old hull that dont sound to good either. So you get over it you are making something be somerthing it is not . It is beautiful boat and my props to Phil and the boys but the last one it is not ,Sorry to throw water on your fire

Codered 10-15-2008 12:20 PM

Who is crying here if someone has bad info then lets make it right, dont just chime in and add posts just because it sounds good or might be correct.

im not in the boat build bus. but who says the HIN is/when it came out of the mold

Codered 10-15-2008 01:04 PM

Would you buy a 2009 anything if it were not a 2009, HIN#, VIN#, serial # s, what ever are there to establish year make and model and production sequence of anything . I always thought this to be true but i am sure someone will find fault with this statement to.

Codered 10-15-2008 01:07 PM

By the way i am not by no means accusing anyone of mislabeling a product or trying to sell something that might be fraudulant

Stop the b1tchfest already.

The latest pics are more impressive than the first ones posted.

I'd like to know if this 700 boat is faster than a Donzi ZRC with 700's.

JUSTGOLF 10-15-2008 01:27 PM

I think everyone likes the boat, tank gave us some inside pic. before the boat was done, can't we just enjoy the boat for what it is? and get over this 1st or last who cares:party-smiley-004:

OK, then go back and delete your posts on this threads please. Because you just "chimed in and added posts just because it sounds good or might be correct"....Which it isn't.

There is no #50 boat....

#45 Gladiator went to Sweden
#46 Gladiator is Mavericks
#47 Gladiator is the black/grey/purple 600 Lip-Ship
#48 is an 07 that was sold to Jerry Brewis through (I believe) American Perf. Marine in Maryland
#49 is the last Gladiator.

No more Gladiators.

Now, we can get back on topic of "The Last Gladiator"

Post number 24 looks like Salmon Controls from the UK, is this correct?

I'm just messing with you. :argue::drink:

Tim told me in Chicago Phil's is the last one. The stamp isn't the gospel, because the 600th Cigarette wasn't "actually" the 600th depending on how you view it.

Man I love that Gladiator!! I hope Phil keeps it awhile so that maybe I can snag a ride sometime. :cool-smiley-011:

Not sure. They kinda look like Latham, but, maybe not.
