I too love this boat and it seems the price is right.

Ha! what you can't tell is who's going faster at that point, but Randy's boat does run strong...92mph w/575's.

Here are the next two shots in sequence...

Randy, tell Stetz it is passed his bedtime and Monopoly money does not count!!!!!

jeff1000man 10-14-2008 10:16 PM

If you still have it in a month and after I look at a couple others, I might be a player.

I am in the market after I get a couple other things taken care of.

I have looked at your boat quite a few times in the classifieds.

Let you know soon.

Wideopen30 10-15-2008 03:51 PM

good luck looks like a nice piece, Whats next?

runafever 10-16-2008 08:30 AM

That is a great lookin Top Gun. I have had my eye on that one for a while.....Now if someone would only come and get my beak boat out of my hair I would probably come after it.

First ,This seems like a good buy. Can some one please tell me what this boat would have cost when bought new. i realize alot of stuff has been done but just curious what It would have been from the dealership 5 yrs ago.

List price maybe but the man asked what you would have paid the dealer. In 06 the blue 525 TG sold at the Miami show for 315K. Full paint, covergirl cabin.

drpete3 10-17-2008 09:16 AM

Ok so I get a high and a low. Thats fine. We dont have to get into a pissin match here. Thanks to both of you

baronmarine 10-17-2008 07:25 PM

randy
that boat is so cool. i would never part with it, if it was in my stable. best of luck with the sale. can't wait to see the next toy. btw do you still have the 20?
todd

Yeah Rob a 575 boat with no paint 5 years ago listed for 600K when today a 39/700 boat lists for that........ You are a self fufilling prophecy tonight!

The guy asked what it would sell for from the dealer, not list price anyway. List price is a joke on new boats and not too many I have heard of go for full list price........

Just a few supporting facts to once again correct your mistakes:

06 Lipship 42X with 850's/#6's listed for 689K new:
Powerboat Magazine. Can't imagine a stock TG/ mild power/bravos with no paint was listed for 600K three years earlier.

For 2008 the 38 TG/ 525 boat lists at 399K new: http://www.powerboatmag.com/cigarett...8-top-gun.html

Quinlan 10-20-2008 07:08 PM

So what is the ballpark total weight loaded w trailer on a 38TS and height?

If it lists at 399. What does it actually sell for. The one in the pics looks like it has a lot to offer.

MT you are imagining it!

I like Rob, he has had some great posts on here but when it comes to used boat pricing it is like arguing with your dad that his old station wagon is priceless to him but just not the collector car world or his year 2000 tech laden 401k statement isn't currently at the same value 8 years later......
Rob also likes to make statements that I disprove with supporting facts then he moves on to another incorrect statement.

Rob can you show me where a 03 TG 575 no paint boat listed anywhere for 600K new? If you can, I will never comment on used Cigarette pricing ever again. :ernaehrung004:
