the hull is a 72 so no pad.yes the blackhawk would be wrong choice for a skier.
So my choices may be either av bravo or a bravo 3
What is the x dim for a blackhawk versus a bravo and bravo could it be rigged for a bravo and be able to swap a blackhawk on?

I believe Tom and Rick swapped out the xr's for the blackhawk, but I am not sure of the X that they have. Keep in mind that the BH is a surface drive, so the x will be higher. I have a BH and ITS and we should be cutting the transom in a month or so, the deck will be going back on in 2 weeks. I was told by Phil, to get the X as high as possible. for the BH, the bullet should be about even with the keel, or about a inch higher. But I also have 8 inches of setback. the guys at Falcon Marine in LI did Toms, maybe they can tell you if they changed the X or not.
as for the BIII, i don't believe there is a shorty version, if so, it might be an answer.

I will be having a complete rebuild thread on www.seriousoffshore.com coming in the next month or so, we just wanted to have plenty of pics to keep it going and interesting with not much lag time. I can also get pm's over there. some of the other things Dave and I are doing is making the sections to convert the older 20's over to a new style dash and cowl with having it pre made to cut down on others build time, and a new raised blower hatch with a pad as well as an integrated cooler w/ drain

...there isnt enough room for a BB, and a tranny in the bilge.[/QUOTE]

Mike Baldwin has a 20 with a Big Block / Borg Warner set up. It may be a 71c as they are an inch shorter than a 72c.

Hey Klaw,

Here is a thread on Donzi.net that someone switched a blackhawk off of a Cig 20 with a Bravo I and an IMCO shorty.
