I am always interested in the top speed aspect but would also like to be able to pull a skier once in a while I am looking fo a good all around performer but the rooster of the Blackhawk sure looks cool I am also on a budget of sorts and after pricing the interior and drives I am about $5,000 over it so far so I think the ITS setup woould kill me LOL |
I ran a 1995 20 with a Bravo 3 and Bravo 1. The three ran straight but was a bit touchy around the docks. The Bravo 1 was a better set up but it did have the list issue. The benefits outweighed the listing issue. A little tab fixed it. Mid range and top were great. Low end did not seem to suffer much with the single prop. It had the pad type bottom. I wanted to try the Blackhawk but never had an opportunity to.

If the 20' will run with a Blackhawk then it will run with a proper surface drive. |
depending on the hull you have plenty of choices, the older hulls have rocker built in to run any surface drive, the newer style has a pad. You can run an its and a shorty with long tabs and be very safe, lots of phils did this, the ones that are going for top speed run blackhawks and its...I'm not sure if I would want to be the skier fighting the rooster from a blackhawk or an asd...there isnt enough room for a BB, and a tranny in the bilge.
