fubar260 01-20-2009 02:51 PM

The maroon '05 39 was one of the first ones. I've seen it in person years ago when it was still in North Carolina, and it is absolutely gorgeous. Still one of my favorites from Cig and TAOD working together.

joefitness123 01-20-2009 04:59 PM

The maroone one is very nice...What do you guys think about the center steer..Value wise better or worse than the side steer boats?

fubard 01-20-2009 05:23 PM

I have a 03 41 searay dancer and a 59 Fairline Squadron(the only Fairline with a inclosed bridge) in sarasota Fl. the searay has been lift kept since new, google the 03 searay in sarasota and the 59 fairline in sarasota. would be interested in something????

If your in the center of the boat you get a better ride in the rough stuff.

If I'm thinking correctly, an at-the-time Cig dealer in Maryland (which also had the Center-Drive 45' Maximus on the floor), had this Yellow 39 Unlimited in there with it.

http://newimages.yachtworld.com/1/8/...?1201296022000

And just because, the Billet Edition 39 (this one was at the '06 Miami Show? The same year as American Muscle 2 and the triple 600 39' Unlimited)

The main thing that sucks about the center steer Cig's, is being in that right seat when it's time to dock. It's a BIG jump to get over that seatback, and about the same trying to get out of the boat from the starboard side.

That person also has to climb on the dash/gauges/windscreen to access the deck, which can lead to MANY unfortunate things happening (to the dash OR themselves) if they are in a hurry to catch the boat in some wind. The driver cannot be expected to move out of the way every time that passenger needs something, and having to open & close that cabin door 10 times to use the stairs, WITH people going in and out of the cabin gets old quick.

Neat idea otherwise, just more work around the marina.

I wonder if it would be an easy work-around for a potential buyer to install a dual helm set-up with a lever like the OL's have... Then you could also have the center driver do the throttles with his/her right hand which most of us are accustomed to! :cool-smiley-026:

I'm thinking the same thing but couldn't tell if it was capped off of if that was the 2nd helm pod???

Either way, I wouldn't let it stop me from buying the boat if I liked it and if I were serious I may even ask the dealer to throw it in for free to close the deal. ;) :ernaehrung004:
